NOTOXIC Universe

The standard

Why NOTOXIC®

Most clothing labels tell you what a garment is made of. Ours also tells you what it is not made with. This page explains the marks you will see on every product.

NOTOXIC® Certified

Our house mark. One banned list of toxins covers every product we sell, from newborn bodysuits to men’s tees. A product carries the mark only after its materials, dyes, prints, and finishes are audited against that list. If a product on this site does not carry the mark yet, it is still in audit.

Made in Tiruppur

Every piece is knitted, dyed, and finished in the Tamil Nadu knitwear cluster, in units we visit and audit ourselves. Knowing exactly where and how a garment is made is what makes the audit honest: we do not certify what we cannot see.

100% organic cotton

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or GMO seed. For clothing that sits on skin all day, especially newborn skin, the fibre is the first safety decision. We do not blend in polyester or use chemical softeners to fake a soft hand feel.

The banned list

Azo dyes, formaldehyde-based finishes, phthalate-bearing plastisol prints, and optical brighteners are the headline entries. The principle is simple: if a substance has no business near skin, it has no business in our supply chain, whatever it costs to remove.
